Baremetrics is an analytics solution used by SaaS companies that use Stripe to manage their recurring billing transactions with customers. I like that I can see which customers are new, expansion, and churn on a daily basis. This gives me the numbers I need for reporting.
I found that my MRR number was different between Stripe and Baremetrics. After talking to support (which is awesome), I found out the differences. It would have been nice if it was displayed on the dashboard.
Baremetrics gives us more insight into our customer spending and trends.
I love all the prebuilt dashboards that help cut through the noise of software company metrics. Focus on what matters!
It was difficult to integrate non stripe revenues, such as Heroku sales. I do believe they’re working on this and will be released soon.

Revenue churn cohort analysis, segmented by Clearbit data to find where the real product market fit is. If I look at an overall cohort analysis, it's great to see overall retention, but the key for me was being able to see my business has a much better fit with higher ASP and ARPA customers. That nugget of gold helped shape our strategic direction, and begin paring back Baremetrics's other data insights to go from the generic to the more targeted (which is where I've been trying to get to for some time!).
It would be nice if Revenue Retention was shown as well as Net Revenue Churn (which is just the inverse). This is the prime metric for SaaS companies to use as a proxy for product market fit.
Other problems have been getting a real MRR figure. While Stripe and Recurly is great, there is always a difference between the two. Baremetrics tracks something like 10x the events of either platform, so it is a much more accurate read of what my business's true headline metric is.

The dashboards are really intuitive and easy to navigate. Also integrates well with Stripe. I'm a big fan of the cancellations and recover features. Huge aid managing dunning campaigns and gathering helpful insights from churned customers.
What's to dislike with a product this good? Not a thing.

Easy to navigate the sign. Repeated sign on is not required as most sites generally time out after a few minutes.

I can access the key drivers of my business and my status across multiple areas immediately -- it illuminates the state of my sales and revenue along with telling me where I am going. One of the really unique features is the ability to benchmark against other saas companies my size.
Nothing -- they have really pushed the limits of what you can glean from Stripe.
Immediate tracking of MRR -- this tells me daily how fast we are growing and I can share this information with investors and advisors -- this keeps us all on the same page and plays to our goal of transparency. The forecast feature helps us also keep our revenue goals on the exponential track. I also really appreciate the churn tracking -- being able to measure that against the industry helps us understand what is normal and where we rank.
Baremtric’s dashboard allows me to get a detailed overview of my business’ numbers without the hassle and at a glance.
Segmenting has been recently introduced but it’s sticky. There’s also no mobile app yet which majorly takes away from the experience when you’re on-the-go
Allows me to fill holes before they become a big problem. It also allows me to run reports far easier than any other way I’ve tried.
I love the interface and the support from Baremetrics, but my favorite feature is their Cash Flow Forecast. It works directly off our Stripe data and projects out charges by day, week, or month on a rolling 12 month basis. They project both with all current active subscriptions and with a revenue growth factor applied.
The projections with the revenue growth factor applied haven't worked well for us. I think this is because of changes within our business as opposed to a fault with the app. I hope as we stabilize price, this will become more useful for us.
I found Baremetrics while researching tools to help with cash flow projections. This was the only tool I found that met our needs using our Stripe data. It has allowed me to build out a forecast that is a meaningful predictor that we can make actionable business decisions against.

Baremetrics is showing us our financials and user churn. We have an insight as to how many users we have with the system which helps direct marketing success.

Baremetrics is providing nearly all of the KPI's we need essentially "off the shelf" with no code and no report building.
Baremetrics provides so much more insight into our revenue, subscriptions etc than the standard tools provided within the Stripe platform. It's been an absolute game-changer for us and helps us routinely to understand what's going on under the hood of our subscriptions. Their customer support is also well trained and responsive, making it a great time saver when you get stuck with something.

We used it to track key metrics (MRR, Churn Rate, CLV). Our business is subscription-based so e leveraged the tool to break down your revenue into cohorts, showing the impact of different pricing changes and subscription plan adjustments. Our main reason for using Baremetrics was its ability to analyze churn. It identified when customers churned but also gives insights into why they are leaving. We also used it to set financial goals and forecasts, which helps me plan for the future.

It's easy to use and share access amongst your team. It plugs into Stripe which is where we process all of our payments through. It has the ability to export data as a CSV which is a big use case for us.
We sometimes run into bugs that make our reporting inaccurate. This makes it harder to count on for board meetings, diligence, and more serious financial conversations.
