You can preview most files on the browser without needing to download them, file and folder permissions are easy to assign and modify, you can see who downloaded or previewed the file and when. You can remove yourself from project folders you are no longer working on
I'm a fan of this filesharing system, there is nothing to dislike for me
File sharing and collaboration, previewing files.
We like Box because its cloud storage service is really good and it is very helpful in any company because it provides excellent security both to the user and to the sensitive and important documents that are stored in it. store, also has really good features that help accelerate the proper functioning of a company by having a synchronization between the cloud and different computers that makes several people can work on the same document without problems or confusion when editing together.
Box really provides a great service that we are pleased to enjoy but unfortunately we have encountered only one problem and it is its transfer limit of 250MB per file, which can be annoying when you need to upload large files and interrupt with the work process. However that is the only problem, otherwise Box is really a good storage service.
Box has undoubtedly been a great help and a relief for us since we were very concerned about what would be the best way to work with our files keeping them always safe and secure at all times, and box was the answer as with its high security we do not have to worry about it anymore, also thanks to it it has been able to accelerate a lot the work that exists in the files of the company since we do not waste time sending and receiving but the work goes almost instantaneous with its incredible synchronization that allows several people to work on the same project comfortably and without wasting time.
We have a bunch of team members who don’t always work in the office, but need access to our files. Box allows for that to happen very easily and effectively.
We’ve had trouble tagging certain files and photos, and having them show up where we’d like.
Box has allowed us to digitalize all of our files and keep them easily accessible to all of our team members.
I switch computers a lot and my files are always there for me. If for any reason I mistakenly delete a file(has happened to me before) it goes to trash and stays there for 3 months.
Mobile application is good, but I stopped using it since I deleted files by mistake more than once without knowing I did.
I access my files to work with from anywhere with an internet connection.
I really like the web interface and the office for web integration. I can open a spreadsheet fast and do some sort of change, and the file will be immediately synced. The box sync is a fast and lightweight tool to sync my computer with the remote folder.
The difference between box sync and box drive is not clear when you download this. One time i have downloaded box drive and it`s very slow, because it downloads the files at the opening time.
Sync files between computers, and version history. It`s fantastic how fast it sync files when i put in my box folder. And the file history have saved my life some times.
Makes our work more dynamic, no need to flood the mailbox of people you are working with or to ask if they already did something. Box shows you who was the last person who worked with the file and at what time so emails are saved for the beginning and end of a project, in between everyone knows where to collaborate and how.
Under some rare circumstances, sync stops working for a while and then continue working.
Document collaboration, file sharing, version control for the files.
Engineers, managers, program managers and resource specialists have it's own way to do and see things, sometimes very different one from another, one thing almost all can agree is that putting our files on box is the best way to share them between ourselves to have the projects completed as soon as possible. The desktop application is just great, avoids the need of login in into a website to see what needs to be done.
As far as I'm concerned there are no downsides of using box.
File sharing and collaboration inside a team and between teams and business units.
No need to go to the browser to have the files updated, you can just use box sync to get all updated files directly to your machine without needing to go to thru the authentication process to reach them.
When syncing a new project with a lot of data as expected is uses a lot of bandwidth but also a lot of CPU.
File management for collaboration with my team and other divisions in my company.
It does not matter if you are in sydney or bangalore or boston, you can collaborate realtime and make sure you are working on the last version on any document as long as the file type is supported
I work with visio a lot and it isn't part of the supported file types
Collaborate all over the world, editing documents and making sure the changes are tracked.
Our company loves box to save and share large files
There is currently nothing I can think of I dislike
Sharing large files over the cloud. More volunteers and teammates can connect over projects because they are more accessible
What I like best of Box is that this platform allows us all in the company to share documents. Box is really effective in sharing files through the cloud to work on them together in my work. Box is really good to share the documents in an effective and fast way.
The only thing that I disike about Box is that sometimes files cannot be uploaded as fast as per say maybe Google Drive or Dropbox. But although Box is better always.
The problems I am solving with Box are the effective sharing of files.
I have tried many tools over the years, nothing can beat the simplicity and user interface of box. You can see who has seen the document already by checking the URL or folder containing it in the web interface, so no more awkward messages asking: Have you seen the document yet? If they have you can ask if they need help if you are in a hurry, and if they have not you can say, please look into this we are in a hurry :)
I'm a pretty intense person so it kind of increases my personality habit of checking if other people are actually working. But that's on me, the software is great.
Collaboration, file sharing, document editing.
The best thing about box is it can be accessed from any platform and it is very secure to store any confidential content. Also, a whole team can collaborate and work together on the same file or folder.
The only dislike is the UI of the platform and also the storage capacity offered in each plan is almost not sufficient for a team.
Using box, we keep and store our confidential content and share our files and folders among the teams. The benefit of using box is that it is very easy to use and for team it is the best platform to collaborate and share the things
We use Box to keep files of everything that is going on within our company. No matter where you are, everyone has access within a few clicks.
Sometimes the app does not work and is sensitive depending on the type of device you are using.
We have a staff of 14 and Box helps us keep everyone on the same page with access to the information they need to do their job effectively
great way to upload and share data with other groups
customer service is not always responsive
we use box to upload and share information in a collective and unified manner
In our company we need to send and receive files, documents such as resumes, reports, videos about meetings and with Box we can do it in a very simple and fast way, we consider it the best place to store and share files in the cloud and that with a simple link we can share it so that it can be viewed or downloaded.
We believe that Box can improve your prices and at the same time your storage space. We have used other similar tools and can offer a better storage plan (that is, with more space to store in the cloud) and in relation to the price is usually something better. However, we are left with Box because it is very easy to use, excellent to synchronize and very secure.
We are a company that manages database about your customers, we constantly receive documents, reports, sheets of life, analysis and we always ask our customers and workers to use Box. The documents are synchronized with the web in a very fast and simple way. In addition, you have options of permissions or roles on the documents or files that we share and so we allow who can download, edit, visualize and much more.
What's not to love? It does not steal my data to resell while providing me with secure servers to backup my critical (and useless) data at zero cost. Plenty of space on the free plan for you to make sure your Documents and Pictures folders are fully backed up (unless you're a hoarder, of course). Desktop sync is easy to set up and quite reliable. There are apps for all the major platforms (R.I.P. Palm, BB and BB10 but they where there when those were not EOL'd).
My dislikes are less about the BOX app than to the fact that the integration BB10/BOX had left everything else feeling like a poor knockoff - including their own Android app. I don't think Android (Google) would ever let them have that level of integration with the system, so this is kinda not on them.
I no longer worry if any of my devices will go kaput because I know my critical data is safe and sound on BOX's servers and can easily be retrieved any time I want, on any device I need. Also instant backup and sync between devices I am logged on.
Our team uses Box to collaborate with our external clients. Box is a great substitute for an internal "shared drive" and allows full transparency for all teams involved. It also allows for version control - users can feel confident that they are working on the latest version of a file, so as not to cause confusion by downloading and re-uploading different versions.
It may just be our team not using this correctly, but I don't believe there is a way to encrypt files within Box. This would be a nice enhancement.
The best benefits are being able to work with external teams on documentation and to feel confident that we are all looking at the same version/copy of data. Our team also loves that Box is a secure environment, so we feel comfortable housing client data when needed.
From the Box program what we like most is the easy way to store files, photos, videos, documents in the nude. From the web application as the mobile application are very easy to use, we can send and receive files from our team. It is also a very good tool to make copies of security.
What we do not like about Box is that it may have shortcomings in the limit of file transfer, since it only offers 250MB and this can be very little if you have to store or share multimedia files. We also believe that they could increase the free storage limit, since in comparison with other similar programs, Box can offer very little.
Whether it's in our employment or personal use, Box has not helped much, from receiving resumes, contracts, sales documents, multimedia files or backup copies, Box has been there to help us. It is very fast when it comes to synchronizing files and we have also benefited greatly from your web application, since it allows us to access the content stored from the application wherever we are, we only need an internet connection. It also allows to implement roles for the edition or modification of the stored content, this helps us to allow a better administration of access to the content that is in the cloud.
