Gusto hasbeen extremely helpful in keeping us in line with standards, consistency, documentation and organization.

Gusto's customer support has been mostly good. It does take some time to have them respond via email. I would love it if there was an instant message option or something that didn't tie people up on the phone.

Gusto's payroll processing is straightforward. We can set up automatic pay runs, and the system handles everything efficiently, from calculating taxes to generating pay stubs. This has taken a major burden off our shoulders, allowing us to focus on other aspects of our business.

Paying employees

Gusto not only reminds me that payroll is upcoming but also reminds me a second time. Why is this helpful? In a small company I don't have extra time to spend worrying about payroll. Gusto makes my payroll process simple and expendient.

What could me improved for me is how reports are provided. I consider myself an intermediate level user but the reports seem to take longer for me to determine exactly what I need.

Time. My time is valuable. I know when using Gusto that my payroll will be completed quickly and will be accurate. Another big challenge I've had in the past is making sure I'm paying the correct taxes on time. I don't have to worry about state and federal taxes. Gusto handles that easily and effortlessly.

It just happens without any user involvement.

I like everything. There is nothign I would change.

Gusto includes all of the HR management tools we need for our company in one convenient place. The interface is well designed, and it is easy to navigate to and within all areas of the application.

I wish it would incorporate some sort of rudimentary hiring tools such as the ability to create and manage position descriptions, and the ability to send these out to various sites.

My manager who manages my salary and pay was able to make last minute changes on a number of occasions to accomodate emergent pay requirements. In addition, Gusto allows the flexibility for me to work under a 1099 and a W2 (not simultaneously, of course), and keep all accounting for each separate for a fiscal year. My tax accountant is impressed with the completness, accuracy and compliance Gusto provides for end of the year tax purposes.

My only complaint, and it was really a learning curve for me, is I was unaware that Gusto managed my pay in two separate places, but defaulted to the brief period in which I worked under a 1099. Other than that it's intuitive.

Easy and flexible; supports complex payrolls.

I appreciate Gusto's use of "lay language" for non-financially-minded small business owners like me. I can understand the basics of what I need. My payroll is on Auto-Pilot, and I love not having to submit my own tax reports, etc.

I haven't found anything to dislike, though at times I have a bit of trouble navigating to information I need.

I don't understand enough about bookeeping to do my own tax reporting. I don't have time to mess with payroll. Gusto does it all!

Tax filing

The tax filing and customer support aspects of the system are robust and seamless. Gusto is very user friendly for bith employees and my payroll coordinator. Customer Service is very responsive. Tax filings are timely, accurate and easy to retrieve from the Gusto platform.

We would like to build more functionality into the time tracking aspects as we charge back time using clock in raw data and need to manipulate data but are missing sortable fields that would make this process easier.

Gusto is easy to use and has 3 tiers of service. It is very easy to implement & integrate into our organization. We use it every day but mainly bi-monthly to process our payrolls. When we have to contact customer service it is quick and painless. It has tons of features!

I didn't like the price increases but understand inflation has caused many things we use daily go up in price.

It makes running payrolls and onboarding/offboarding employees easy.
