I can go in and it answers any questions I may have about my employment without having to actually ask someone. I use it often to check my PTO, request time off, and see my team member's birthdays and anniversaries.

I like how user-friendly Bamboo's website is. The layout is clear and and comes with so many options. As someone who uses Bamboo on a daily basis, I'm really satisfied with what they offer. If I have any issues, their customer service is always quick to respond and friendly to work with.
There's really nothing I don't like about BambooHR.
Most recently, Bamboo has been wokring on the switch from TRAX Payroll, to having the payroll processed directly through the BambooHR site. This has made the steps of payroll more concise and increased the layout. As the administrator of our company that processes payroll on a bi-weeky basis, this change has been huge.
(a) It is really helpful in generating the required reports and also has the ability to tag as much of personal and professional information of an employee. (b) It is helpful in getting the relevant data of any employee which would help in creating a trend line for business decisions
It is difficult to regularize the attendance management and exit management for the employees from different locations.
Leave Management, Policy Management, Onboarding and Offboarding modules are easily managed using BambooHR tool.
The entire portal is so easy to access with a simple UI, big fonts, divided sections relevantly and with so many other features, we never miss any update or action item.
Loading time from one tab to another. It's not too much but feel like can be optimised further.
All the information is now on 1 platform and very easily accessible which previously we had to do via excel sheets or using multiple softwares. All the employee related docs are now properly stored here whereas previously it was only google drives.
BambooHR is an amazing platform to run many different elements of your daily operations out of, as well as the bigger picture and less frequent tasks. Rather than having multiple systems, websites or accounts to manage for your company's hiring, payroll, benefits, etc processes - having somewhere (and with great customer support too) that is an "all in one" has been incredibly helpful for our company's efficiency. I personally help manage multiple EINs for our parent company, and have been a part of the implementation process for a few of them. We have had great support throughout every step of the process. Whether it be via chat, emails or a phone call, everyone on BambooHR's team is kind and helpful.
In the middle of one of our EINs implementations is when the payroll system (TRAXPayroll) was implemented from their third party website directly into BambooHR's platform. It wouldn't have been the choice timing for our company, as we weren't sure if certain migration issues were caused by the change or if we missed details during implementation. While the support during implementation was helpful, the team past that point is still helpful to resolve any lingering issues or challenges.
Current problems that BambooHR are helping solve include tax related issues that came up during implementation of new EINs. Having the support is great.
The various modules are easy to use; customise and update. We use the Hiring / Onboarding / Offboarding as well as all the other features. The ability to create form to be completed and signed by team members is invaluable and used for all our confidential and compliance records. I find that I use Bamboohr every day. It also integrates with our Training platform - making training seamless. The initial implementaion was really easy and the support team was very responsive when I needed help.
There is no option to mark anyone as a "Hybrid Worker"

I knew Bamboo was something special before they grew to the size they are now. The system is user-friendly for both admins and employees, it's an all in one stop for all things HR and payroll, and it keeps everything in one place for ease of access when you need it. I love it!
I wish the announcements were more customizable. The template is pretty generic - I wish it was more of true email template like you get with Constant Contact or working in a PDF. It makes our weekly announcements look pretty generic - you can't really format the pictures or text very well. I also wish the org chart was more customizable.
All of our hiring and onboarding, all of our policies and procedures, all of our training, all of our payroll, performance mgmt, employee lifecycle, offboarding, weekly announcements (newsletters) and communications to employees. It's truly a one stop fits all. There are the eNPS feedback services along with the easy integration features to Motivosity for recognition programs. We'll be implementing Compease soon and I know it will be a breeze with Bamboo's system and support team.
It's all on one platform, flexible for employer and employee, it's custumizable and has nice reporting features and analytics. Great customer support.

I love how I can see who on my team is out on any given day in the calendar. I also love the feedback and assessments feature! It's a great tool that we use quarterly for 1:1 assessments as well as random 360 feedback.
The vacation policies are a little difficult to navigate both on the administrative side as well as placing a time of leave. I would also love to see a section on individual profile's reserved for recording HR conversations and decisions (like recording a log of performance failures and including a 60-day improvement plan).
It is our centralized Human Resources hub and serves as a largely beneficial tool in logging payment, job history, reporting structures, etc. I would love to see the ability to integrate a solid line - dotted line reporting structure.
I work with several small companies and we all use BambooHR a bit differently. I love the simplicity of the system but love the support from the Support Heroes. I am always learning new tips and tricks to better optimize the functionality and deliver more solutions to our clients. I also, really like the little fun comments and greetings that are scattered through the system. I also really appreciate that there is a separate support team for BambooHR and TRAX payroll. The integration of TRAX payroll into BambooHR has gone really smoothly. I started processing payroll in BambooHR right away and it's been a simpler, easier, and faster process.
There are two areas that I am not challenged with. The first is that Holiday pay is not separated from the employee paychecks. Any holiday hours/pay is combined and only labeled with Regular hours. Employees often ask if they've been paid for their holiday hours and it takes additional communication to share that. Also, the library of resources is difficult to search and navigate. Once I get there it's challenging to find what I need and I tend to spend a lot of wasted time getting to what I want/need.

BambooHR is one of our favorite tools that we use! It makes tracking employee information and the HR process so much easier! I would recommend it to anyone that needs a way to keep up with employee information, payroll, benefits, and pto. Even the onboarding process feels so much smoother and feels really inviting to new employees!
I do wish that there were more bundles available with the different features. It's expensive to add on every feature and not super feasible for some business owners. I also wish that you could schedule annoucements to go out at a certain time.
Solves our time tracking, benefit enrollment, onboarding process, and storing employee information. This saves us so much time and makes it so much easier to find employee information!
Exceptional customer service that listens and always has a solution. If there is a better way, the team automatically suggests the idea for future project updates. User-friendly interface, which makes training employees easy. Employees love using the app for time off requests and viewing the calendar.
There are a few things I would improve, but I know the team is always listening to suggestions. I'd love the ability to add company events to the calendar, and I would like the ability to rework the home page and "lock" it for employees so they are able to see the important things.
The ATS makes it easy to track, organize, and rank candidates. The intregration between ATS and onboarding is seamless, and I avoid double-entry by simply moving a candidate into the system for onboarding.
Its ease of use both from a HR perspective and from the staff perspective. Noboby, regardless of their computer skills has ever had an issue with it.
If we would like to change a function that doesnt wrk well for us, it is alomst impossible. Also we are Irish Based and some of the terminilogy is more US based but this cannot be changed. I would like if certain elements could be made bespoke.
Before Bamboo HR we had no internal HR system, no way of tracing leave adequately and no staff directory - Bamboo HR in an instant fixed all of these issues and made our jobs a lot easier

When we began using BambooHR, we were already impressed with the features and customization. When we found some features we needed were missing or not working optimally, we submitted our concerns through their product feedback form and BambooHR updated their software to specifically meet our needs.
We love BambooHR. As we have grown more comfortable using it we have wished we had a little more room to customize certain features, like access levels and standard reports, to meet our needs. BambooHR can only calculate workweeks based on days (Sunday-Saturday) and not times (Sun 8:00 AM-Sun 7:59 AM), which makes payroll/overtime calculations difficult for our shift workers.
Before BambooHR our personnel files were a mess! Keeping up with expiring documents for 100+ employees was a nightmare. BambooHR's customizable employee info and email alerts have made keeping up with documents and background checks incredibly user-friendly for admins, managers, and the employees themselves.
I love BambooHR because it gives me one place to store all information and documents for my employees. It makes onboarding a breeze and offboarding as seamless as possible. The option to send documents to all employees to sign right through the platform is great. I am excited to continue learning to use all the tools BambooHR offers.

Compliance! With BambooHR we have all the information and data in one place. All necessary documents are stored and it is easy to create and send out new items for sgnatures. The new hire packet is great, giving the employees the ability to complete missing information and complete tasks.
