I am using this service for around one month for personal use but can recommend it as stable and reliable. Also, I can compare with competitive services, and can say that this service is one of the best on market. Price good enough for value that service provides compared to the same services. I also can tell that the admin panel and billing are easy to understand, the price is fixed so you are sure that any extra expenses will occur. For my needs service has been working with 100% uptime, which is the most important for me. Thank you.
Everything was clear, compared with the services that I used before, I am absolutely satisfied. I can only say that price could be discounted when I am ordering bulk desktops.
I am using this service for my personal use, I only need a remote desktop to be working 100% time with a stable internet connection from a selected location and basic PC hardware.
Customer service is very responsive. They have helped me with the entire process from setting up the cloud computer to installing applications to ongoing questions we have. They have always made us feel like we can ask them anything. Also the ease of use has been very helpful. This is our first time using a cloud service to host our software.
The main challenge i have found is making sure we have enough disk space. Application space adds up quickly. That has been our biggest challenge. Keeping out costs down while making sure we have enough space for applications and data.
V2 has allowed us to solve our network limitations. Building a reliable local network was too costly for our firm. V2 has allowed us to move certain desktop software to the cloud. Our remote team and local team is a lot more productive because of this new network.
Flat pricing with no "gotcha's", and it is reasonable. Great performance. They don't try to limit what programs you can run, unlike many other vendors. I have full admin privileges, so I don't need their help installing or updating any programs. Support is responsive via chat during business hours.
The log-in process is clunky. They won't let you print to a local network printer without a site-to-site VPN for some reason, which isn't a restriction I have ever encountered in 10+ years of using remote VMs. Their support is not very helpful in setting up a site-to-site VPN. They set it up on their side but weren't willing or weren't able to help me configure my VPN hardware on my side, so I ultimately abandoned it and just gave up.
My old hosted VM vendor (Azure) kept nickeling and diming me on every conceivable metric, causing my bill to increase month over month without end. I self hosted for 2 years after that, but the performance was not good and I had to pay for IT support for the hardware and local networking issues. The cost fo V2 is not much more than I was paying for IT support alone and now I don't have to worry about power/internet outages at the office interrupting my ability to log in and work.
V2 Cloud was easy to set up and solved my problem immediately. We ran out of computer power in the small number of computers that we have in our office, and we were looking for a cost-effective and easy solution to add more computers without buying more hardware.
Tough question. I can't think of anything (except that I haven't found a way to copy text from my Mac computer and paste it to my virtual Windows V2 Cloud machine) I dislike about the service. It does exactly what I need it to do at a decent price.
I need to run a resource-heavy application every day and my MacBook Air doesn't have the right system requirements for it. Instead of buying a new laptop, I decided to search only for virtual desktops. The options to set-up one online are very limited and difficult to use. I found V2 Cloud and now I have a dedicated desktop with the right system requirements to run the application that I have to run daily. I'm happy!
It's simple to use and simply priced. Im not super tech-savvy and tried setting up a remote desktop using Azure, however I found it hard to figure out the pricing and compute usage I needed and all the options made me worry that I wasn't chosing the right one. V2 has simple pricing and offerings making it easy for a business owner like myself.
Nothing really - I wish there were more locations for hosting I suppose but with India now supported it covers almost all bases.
So I run a consulting firm that is designed to help organizations have a better presence on social media - specifically linkedin. I use some custom software I have had built for me which I need running 24/7 per client in a virtual cloud, V2 allows for the software to be running at all times and almost zero down time and had no problems.
V2 Cloud is a much cheaper solution compared to Amazon Server. They have all the most important features that we needed for a server, without having to make a complicated setup.
Until now we didn't have any bad experience with the server. Maybe they could have better prices for storage in the future. The prices are not bad, but because they do all the setup, it can be more expensive.
We are a construction company and we used Amazon Server before. For each user, we had to pay almost $600. Now, we pay a fraction of this price, with the same benefits. We are very satisfied
The best part, is that it works, and enables us to offer cloud services to our clients. But the technical support is beyond great, and is also essential for a product like this. I also am really pleased with the option of my end-users to connect via RDP OR a browser (wenconnect)... that is something that really increases the value for us.
Well, it would be great if local scanners connected like the printers do. The price point of 3rd-party options to possibly get scanners to work is prohibitive. We have put work-arounds into place, but it would be awesome to not have to do that!
We are a software provider, and have been able to offer our end-users a fast cloud option, which we did not have before. It is something that has helped us both retain customers, and attract more.
The support group is great very attentive and easy to get a hold of. They are very responsive
Nothing to mention. It's a great system that is cost-effective.
