Overall it is a great product, but you better know how to use it before jumping in.

Their support is nearly useless. Most importantly, if you make a mistake or try to edit a video you get charged points for the edit. So as a novice user, it can take almost all of your points until you figure out the ecentricities of the product. I wilsh they had a sandbox to play in so that you could use the product. When you ask for a refund of the points you used because you needed to re-edit or just screwed up, you are told flatly - NO REFUNDS. Had I known this I never would have purchased the product. Don't be fooled by their 20% discount price, because to do any meaningful work you better buy the much more expensive higher end offers. I am very disappointed and disatisfied.

Good communication tool, but given their disingenuous pricing it proves to be very expensive on a cost per video basis vs other tools.

I made an Avatar Lite with Movio.la, and I love that I can now make a video without being in front of the camera! It's not perfect, but as a husband and dad with two jobs, no office or recording studio and five kids, it's an absolute game changer for creating videos and being able to feed the YouTube algorithm. It was incredibly easy to set up. The Movio team makes it really simple once it's set up. It's also really simple and fast to make your first video that I didn't even have to think about it, which is really great user experience! I think that if they marketed to more users like me and provided more examples of their AI avatars where they're able to move more freely and naturally, they could make a killing. I'm now seeing twitch streamers make hilarious parodies of other internet personalities like with the "Athene AI Parody" Shows. If movio could pull off what's done in those parody examples, they would have no competitors. The cost is a real hit. As a content creator, for example, a typical video is about 10-15 mins long. The pricing at 10 mins is $30 bucks. For instance, if you want to gain traction on YouTube, you would have to fork out $140-$180 with Movio every month to make it a reality, and the avatar is only one part of the video-making process. If you use other AI tools or are a content creator at home with five kids like me, you're spending even more money to create videos consistently. Another challenge with Movio.la is the Avatar. It looks great and having something else to lean on when making videos is awesome. It ultimately doesn't look natural enough for me. My AI avatar's lips stretch a lot, even though I can see my tongue and teeth. When I first saw this feature from "MattVidPro AI", it looked perfect. I was somewhat disappointed when I saw mine. I do plan on making more versions of "AI Dave" and hope to work with the team to make it look more natural. I will say that with all of this said, it is still worth it to me personally. The only thing is that if I end up paying $180/mo for something like this, I will hope that they will work with me to provide a higher-quality product.

Time is money with content creation, so being able to do that without spending the time and set up for video and audio recording. I can stay in my pajamas, skip shaving and be making videos next to my 2-year-old watching cocomelon on YouTube, all while my other kids are fighting over the Nintendo in the background and never have any of that show up in my videos.

What I liked about HeyGen is that their interface is easy to use and there are a ton of features and avatars you can choose from. What's even more appealing is that you can create your own avatar using your own picture!
