Easy to setup. Pricing ramps up with usage. Makes your organization seem big.
Would be nice to have voicemail transcription included. But costs are still reasonable.
Getting an office phone line that gets to the right person. Everyone has a cell phone so desk extensions don't make much sense anymore.
Ease of use and reporting. The nicest feature is on the fly making changes to the system.. very quick!
On hold music that is default is terrible.. customers joke about how bad it is.
Multiple out of office staff answer the phone. Made it VERY easy to blast calls to multiple phones simultaneously!
Very easy to set up and get started. Similar to Grand Central prior to Google buying them. Choosing extensions is easy and setting up voicemail recordings is also very easy.
The user interface is a bit dated in how it looks. It would be nice to be able to choose what kind of audio file voicemails are emailed to you as. Besides that there are not many downsides.
Not giving out personal phone numbers to clients. Google voice was not an option since it is incompatible with Project Fi.
User-friendly (easy to navigate), plus I love being able to use it both on my desktop and phone.
The desktop interface seems slow at times. By slow I mean not crisp or not as responsive. Whenever I have my earphones on and Grasshopper rings, the ringtone startles me every time.
Business calls are more streamlined now because of this tool.
I love being able to have an app on my phone for our business line and take calls from my cell phone, but I still have a separate business number, so I am not using my personal number. It makes it more professional, and I can take office calls from anywhere! Not only can I take calls from my office number, but I can also text as well. You just need the app, not even an actual landline phone.
I wouldn't say I like that they don't seem to filter spam texts. They can sometimes crowd the inbox.
I can now have my office phone with me wherever I go! I had to worry about missing important calls when we just had a landline office phone, but now I don't have to worry about that. It is also lovely to be able to set up different extensions for different staff members. The best part is that it is so much cheaper than a landline!
We love that we can assign extensions quickly, and have voicemails saved and sent to Zendesk.
Sometimes there is a glitch with answering calls.
We've realized this is great for getting calls forwarded to us here at the office without having to give our our personal numbers.
Grasshopper’s app is used by our compnay all day, every day. Very easy to use for calls, fax, and tect.
Fees have gone up, but it neets all our needs.
Communication between clients, patients, and employees.
I appreciate the ease of use, automatic email alerts for missed calls and the quick-access app.
I truly wish the voice-to-text and sms messages were included as a bundle vs separate add-ons.
We have filtered our calls through the extensions, which saves at least 2-3 minutes per call, clarifying the core reason for the prospect, partner, or clients call. Streamlining our time saves money.
Grasshopper makes it easy to have multiple extensions with professional greetings, plus the ability to receive faxes and send texts. All from your regular phone.
I wish it were easier to change messages. It's not horribly difficult, but it could be quicker
Carrying only one phone, instead of two. Receiving faxes on my cell phone and multiple phone extensions to sort my calls
Grasshopper has several features that I like: 1. Customizable greetings. You can record your own or have them recorded for you. 2. Incoming calls can either be rolled over to the next line if not answered or programed to ring all lines at once with one or two clicks. 3. Easy to program and set up. 4. Great customer service. Any time I've had any issues (rare), they address it or help me fix it immediately when I call.
Sometimes the cell phone app is a little slow to load initially (if you quit the app). Otherwise, it works pretty well and there's not much to dislike.
When we travel, we can forward it to someone else to answer calls while we're gone. We also have been able to email a voicemail to another person if they're better suited to handle the message. Voicemails are always emailed to you making this task very simple. You can also have your voice mail texted to you for a fee.
The ability to manage phone calls online
That you cannot manage text messages on web browser
Using personal phone but not giving personal number to clients
What I like best about Grasshopper is the fact that I can add multiple phone numbers and then choose which number I want my calls to route to. This is great since I work from home a few times a week. I also like that I receive an email when I have a new voicemail. It helps keeps me on track.
At first I had a hard time adding my office line. For some reason, Grasshopper wouldn't accept the 866 number and extension.
I don't always have to check my work voicemail box. When I'm on the go, I know that my calls will be route to my cell so I don't miss a thing!
Grasshopper does call forwarding and does it well. You can set up a chain so that if the first person does not answer a call, it will be passed to the next person in line, and so on.
Grasshopper for not work well when I tried to forward calls to my Google voice number, because of the validation, but it was not a big deal since I could just forward the calls to my regular number instead.
This tool was ideal for a small team without dedicated office space or phone lines. The call forwarding ensured that no calls works be missed.
That it will forward calls to our employees who are hundreds of miles apart as if we were in the same office building. I started a small business selling sunglass straps called, Backstays, and we only had a couple employees who all lived in different cities. We couldn't afford a office assistant to answer calls and then forward them to the right person. This provided an easy way to not only forward our calls to the employees hundreds of miles apart, and alert us the reason the customer was calling (inquiring about an order, wanting to be a campus rep, calling about a custom design, etc. - Grasshopper lets you program these however you want numerically).
I disliked how misleading the price was. Signed up for the cheaper plan and the price ended up going up almost 50% from the advertised price once we had to add in fees. Still a great service but pricier than I initially wanted to pay and thought was fair.
This solves the problem of having our employees not all working under the same roof. It also lets us keep our personal cell phones with a business line forwarded to them. The major benefit we realized was not having to use a secretary or office assistant.
It has made it super simple to make our clients aware of our schedule, and to customize information being provided to them
It can be difficult to find support and manage your account
We can now utilize away messages, auto responses, and more
Decent interface, you can text, call, leave voicemails, multiple lines, and instant responses. Also, quick support bot in case you need any assistance. Plus the mobile app, it's a plus!
The app itself doesn't have a built-in option section, so you'll have to use your browser to configure your stuff. The ringing sounds a bit cheap, I might say. Also mentioning a few bugs and having troubles with logged sessions.
Multiple incoming calls, we have different extensions that help us divide the queue. We reduced our missed call rate due to its waiting system. You can also have the mobile option, which is convenient.
Grasshopper being open source is a platform with infinite possibilities. It's amazing that we get to design or simulation workflows and customise the visualisations.
It was hard to get at first. I don't like that is not readable at full view of the script. Better zoom options would improve this.
Building design optimization for daylight, energy and thermal comfort.
The best thing was the simplicity. As a business owner I needed an easy way to get a business phone number so I did not have to give out my personal line. Also the call routing, VM functionality made it a professional solution for us while we were new and growing.
There is not much I really disliked because it solved the issue for my business. I wish it was cheaper because you could leverage Google voice for free but the features you get make it worth it.
I needed a business line for my consulting business so I was not using my personal phone number. I needed this forwarded to my cell phone since I am always on the move.
The privacy that the program offers for communication.
Nothing comes to mind that I dislike about grasshopper.
Makes calling or receiving calls from clients much easier.
I like the call health access the best. Courteous staff is always available via phone or email to make on the fly changes to my phone answering and administrative Protocol.
The cost for additional administrative tasks and the cost of minutes seems a little bit high.
I use Grasshopper for virtual secretary services for my medical practice. This includes scheduling, answering urgent phone calls, scanning in medical records and intake forms and connecting me to patients with her urgent issues.
