I love how reliable and secure the platform is.
I honestly don't have anything negative to say.
We need a strong platform to host our WordPress websites and WP Engine is a reliable and well-trusted platform to do so.
WP Engine offers the best hand-off management solution for WordPress developers in the niche-hosting market. They make my life easier.
I've never been thrilled with the cost and I wish I could host up to 3 sites under the smallest pricing plan. Also, I think they count bot traffic toward the upper limit.
Resource optimization, plugin management, and detailed technical support.
The scoring of the page -- SEO, readability, etc
It'd be nice if it were a bit more user friendly.
My companies website - it provides information for the companies services + offerings
WP Engine makes novice web builders like me feel confident about managing a company website. Super user-friendly and easy to navigate - no headaches included! Highly recommend!
The only downside we have found using WP Engine is the number of updates needed to keep our plug-ins and site running smoothly. They are easy to update but annoying to remember to check regularly.
Our company did not want to hire a full-time website developer, and WP Engine made that possible! Someone with limited previous web knowledge is more than capable of regular upkeep - fancy web developer is only needed for major re-designs and large projects.
We host all of our client's websites with WP Engine. It's quick and easy to set up a WordPress development environment, and managing it after launch is a breeze. WP Engine's excellent 24/7 customer service has yet to leave us hanging.
For newcomers, the leap in subscription pricing may be a bit much for some. There are definitely cheaper hosting options out there, minus the suite of WP Engine's robust features. The dashboard navigation takes a second to get acquainted with.
Having automated backups on all of your sites is a lifesaver. Utilizing WP Engine's one-click restore to a previous environment has saved us many times. It's good to feel safe when you have reliable hosting and support with WP Engine.
WP Engine is one of my preferred hosts I use. I recommend it to clients and work on client accounts as a delegate user. Support is great, and the features make sense.
The user interface feels slightly unintuitive to me, but that's probably because I'm bouncing between hosts often throughout the day.
Good, high quality hosting for my clients
WP Engine has a very easy user interface, and the support staff is quite knowledgable when it comes to issues that arise. With any problem I've ever had arise, the support has responded quickly and efficiently and found a solution each and every time.
There are a couple of downsides to WP Engine hosting. It can be a bit expensive, and the limits on the amount of traffic for your website(s) are a bit ridiculous. Also, you get thrown around quite a bit with "personalized" account reps. I feel like I've had 4 or 5 different account reps contact me over the last 18 months.
The only thing that people need from a website host is reliable uptime, good speed, and the ability to quickly fix issues when problems arise. WP Engine checks all of those boxes.
What don't I like? First, migrating sites to WP Engine could not be easier. Managing my sites is so easy. Backing up and restoring my site is easy. Setting up SSL is easy. All of these things are so much harder on all other web hosting platforms I have worked with.
I would like to see more tiers for accounts. jumping from 1 site for $30 to 10 sites for $100 is big, it would be good to see something in-between. It would also be nice to add more storage to your account without going to the next tier.
I am reducing the time I need to manage my Wordpress installs greatly with WP Engine. What takes me a minute or two with WP Engine would have taken me up towards an hour or sometimes more with the other hosting platforms I have used.
If we are not starting from scratch with WP Engine, we have an option to migrate our website completely from another hosting provider to WP Engine. And this migration process is very easy and automatic. We can get here many security features such as when there is a plugin which can harm the site it notifies us.
WP Engine is very costly as we can get cheaper hosting providers in the market of the same or less cost with exact specifications. So, I think they should have to work on their pricing structure.
Earlier, we have used WP Engine for hosting our WordPress website. But then we switched as it was way too costly than other platforms. Apart from cost, it has the best performance for hosting of any WordPress website.
WP Engine offers a reliable hosting platform with excellent customer service. It's easy to connect with support by chat and their staff is both friendly and helpful. The website management dashboard is easily navigable and it's fairly easy to find everything you need to manage your various websites. We have 11 sites currently set up on WP Engine and we've been very satisfied with its performance.
Not much. We're very satisfied with the product and service so far. You will pay more than you would for some of their competitors, but the value they provide is worth it to us.
We have 11 websites set up on WP Engine and it has been a great resource. It helps us keep our WordPress sites up-to-date and provides a secure, reliable backup for all of our websites.
I love that whenever I have a question, no matter how small (or big), I can chat with WP Engine support and get help instantly. I never feel like a noob, or that they judge me for not knowing something. They're proactive, helpful, and good to work with.
There is nothing I don't like about these guys. They're super friendly and helpful, so I have nothing to complain about.
My website is fast, and I'm confident that it's secure with WP Engine. It's fantastic not to have to think about it.
WPE shows a commitment to improvement of their platform on a regular basis. Whether through improvments to their portal or the introduction of tools like the Atlas headless CMS, they don't rest on their laurels.
Their support desk used to use an industry standard tool which was replaced with their own application. I preferred the legacy tool due to familiarity and user experience.
The ease of updating the wordpress core as well as php make staying up to date a low risk proposition. Restore points and the ability to download a snapshot make it easy to roll back if necessary.
On time support to resolve live site issues
We don't have fully control for the servers
All WP technical problem solved with WP-ENGINE team and it's a fastest solution for WP sites.
Customer service is phenomenal. Functionality is broad but can be confusing at times. The customer service team is responsive and makes things very clear.
Sometimes functionality is confusing/complicated. If you know what you're doing, this allows you tons of control over your site.
We are solving website management issues with WP Engine, particularly rebuilding and hosing issues.
I am very pleased that the technical support is 24 hours a day attentive to the requests presented by users, and at the same time to guide you while you handle the tool, it is an extremely important factor that not all tools have. This tool will provide you with backup and backup copies of your clients' websites so as not to lose any relevant information for the organization.
It would be ideal for the tool to send notifications to the email of the users to know the release of the main updates of the tool, so that the user immediately devotes himself to update and to know his new options and versions.
We use WP Engine in the organization to work together with WordPress.org, these two tools are responsible for working on the management of our websites and blogs for our customers. We use WP Engine to host and support all our websites, it provides reliability and security to safeguard all the information that is handled regarding the websites. It is responsible for managing the backup copies of our clients' sites. The ability of WP Engine to create and organize sites easily and transfer data makes it an ideal and powerful tool for our organization, its use in the organization is vital.
I think the ease-of-use is one of the best things about WP Engine. We can get our WordPress websites imported rather quickly and also create new websites from scratch with the WP Engine installation and management tools. Making updates to our WordPress core files is more streamlined in the WP Engine system compared to updating the software through package downloads. I like that we can get regular updates of activity regarding the use and security of our account.
The only thing that is not as good as standard hosting plans is the fact that the pricing for WP Engine is much higher than many of the basic level plans. For some WordPress installations that don't require lots of plugins or complex programming, I think that the page load differences aren't going to be that much improved in WP Engine.
WP Engine makes it easy for us to install and maintain our WordPress websites. We run lots of important websites for business through WP Engine and need to make sure that they are up and running and are performing as quick to load for visitors as possible. The uptime for WP Engine has been excellent and we often get great page loading speeds. We can also get extended metrics that allow us to analyze the effectiveness of our web page designs.
When I tried loading websites at other hosting accounts, they tended to not load WordPress pages as efficiently. WP Engine is great since the structure is designed especially for WordPress installations. We can also get insightful data on visitor activity and the performance of our pages. We often have to install plug-ins to fulfill the design specifications that we have for our websites and WP Engine gives us a platform to be able to download and activate plugins more efficiently.
Though WP Engine has been super for WordPress installations, it isn't really as much of an open-ended environment for more advanced design and development needs. It is somewhat rigid in terms of the way we can add on features to our hosting account.
WP Engine has been a great way for us to get faster page loading speeds and be able to update our WordPress extensions and security features more effortlessly. When we don't use a WordPress hosting package like WP Engine, we often have to deal with more malware and coding bugs. WP Engine has reduced the amount of malware attacks we've had on the whole. We can make basic design updates more efficiently and make updates to the content in less time.
Our WordPress installs run extremely quick and smooth on WP Engine servers. The user interface is easy to use and we can get set up in less than an hour. The pricing is quite reasonable and not much more than we'd expect to pay on standard web hosting servers that aren't optimized for WordPress. We get great data on visitor activity in our account.
WP Engine is such a straightforward and simple service that doesn't often require frequent maintenance, so it's hard to point out anything I really dislike. It might be complicated for people that aren't familiar with WordPress though.
We're able to run our WordPress websites very quickly in a server that's optimized for this particular CMS. We have more stable pages and few issues with malware. We can host pages for a variety of marketing applications and know that they will load reliably.
There is a CDN built right in for faster performance. The features the come with the hosting are fantastic and very useful. The chat support is always easy to reach and super helpful. This platform is fast and secure, which are critical when choosing a web host.
It would be nice to add more storage to your account without going to the next level. Adding SSL support can cause issues when at some point after installing it. Otherwise, not much to dislike.
Our team doesn't need to make extra effort to back up or keep our WP Engine software updated. Needed stable, fast and secure hosting. We have closed our accounts with all other hosting providers.
