Pros of Hootsuite includes the ability to manage multiple social media profiles, page, and schedules in one application. This is good especially for a smaller business that doesn't have a dedicated social media tea. Hootsuite makes social media management, monitoring, and reviewing analytics incredibly easy. Hootsuite can be used anywhere with iOS and Android support, which is nice if your business is limited to mobile devices. I felt that using Hootsuite has helped me through the correct stages of updating my social media channels. I even took a few tips from using the platform in consideration with my personal social media channels. Once a post goes live, I get customized analytics letting me know what I did right, and what can be improved.
One of my biggest cons of using Hootsuite would be pricing. To take advantage of all of the wonderful collaboration features is a big chunk of change to spit out all at once. I would recommend that Hootsuite launch payment plans or discounts accordingly.
Improving communication among other staff members. We've realized how much of an asset Hootsuite is because it was friendly among our devices and was pretty intuitive.
The scheduling manager and a good overview of all social feed in one-page
Can't posting on wordpress and automatically scheduling a post after pubblished
The social media management
Hootsuite's ability to autoschedule posts according to your account's needs is amazing.
The limitations of the free account can be frustrating (30 scheduled post limit). However, if you're just starting out, it can be an excellent option to really get a feel of how scheduling and reporting works. If you can work within those limitations of the free account, then it can be a great service, and far less expensive than competitors.
Scheduling posts across multiple client channels, as well as scheduling Instagram posts when I know I'm going to be unable to post them manually.
It's great for organizing my publications, programming them in advance and take out the stress of constantly remember to upload your updates.
the interface could be more direct, without so many steps to edit.
Inmediate response to improve my network through social media. I can organize complete days of networking without stress.
Makes it easy to schedule posts to my social media postings. Having a single place to schedule them is much easier and a huge time saver.
Not the easiest interface, but still easier to use than doing all of the social media sites one at a time!
Able to schedule my social media posts all at one time and all in one place (with the exception of Pinterest). Frees up time to do others things.
Ease of use, multiple platform integration, simplified dashboard, mobile access
Can be somewhat expensive for some plans--depending on what time of audience you are trying to reach, the app itself may not payback
growth, organization, peace of mind---glad to know that I can go about my other tasks without having to focus on posts. I save time with my scheduled postings.
Success in monitoring social media accounts, improving your presence, tracking preferences and providing valuable contribution.
Expense if you choose to go past the free url option, and expensive for teams to open a level together.
By tracking your social accounts, you can hear directly from consumers about what they like or dislike about your product or service, which can give you information on how you might improve. Being part of the conversation on social media can give you an edge because you're talking with your customers and learning from them, instead of guessing at what they want.
The ability to schedule posts for multiple social media networks, as well as to monitor mentions of your brand.
Hootsuite has always been limited by the fact that you cannot schedule posts to Instagram. They have recently rolled out a new feature that claims to allow Instagram scheduling, but it is convoluted and does not work well. In fact, it makes it easier just to post to Instagram directly.
I use it mainly for scheduling and monitoring Twitter, because it requires frequent posting multiple times a day. If not for a scheduling software, Twitter would be really time-consuming for my department.
That you can post across multiple social media platforms quickly. You can also set up a full month in advance saving time in the long run.
I do not like that the posts are not saved to be used at a later time. In other words, you can not build a library of posts that can be used multiple times.
Keeping up with our social media accounts and ensuring that our content is put in front of our fans and other users of the platform.
I love the ability to host multiple social media platforms simultaneously.
Hootsuite can be a little complicated to figure out. It's a great concept, but not particularly user-friendly for beginners.
It helped me manage my social media accounts across many platforms in one convenient place. I also loved the ability to schedule posts.
Well-designed interface, iOS mobile app, integration with Reputology (review tracking), link shortening and tracking
Does not support video posting for Instagram, posting process for Instagram videos is buggy
Our company manages 11 different hotel locations - each with their own Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts. Hootsuite allows our team to monitor, respond and post in one central location. We can review posts prior to publishing and the analytics are a great addition. The mobile app is really convenient and allows you to do almost all the things you can accomplish from the desktop version.
I like that you can manage and schedule posts for multiple platforms!
I don't like that social media algorithms have identified hootsuite as an outside source, so they show your content to less people if it's scheduled here.
TIME MANAGEMENT. Being super busy, Hootsuite allows me to schedule content to my platforms without having to spend extra time doing that on the original platform. It saves a ton of time, and I feel more organized knowing that I have content scheduled for whatever I need!
The format is easy to see, the reporting charts are pretty and everything is really easy to understand.
My platforms would disconnect a lot, it's not really friendly with LinkedIn.
Reporting! Hootsuite provides pretty good reporting and monitoring, but there are additional stats and insights I wish it would have more of.
Being able to schedule social media posts for all platforms
You can’t schedule Instagram posts as easily
Organizing my companies social media calendar ahead of time and tracking our engagement
Love the ability to upload and manage massive amounts of scheduled social media posts. Freemium analytic tools provide sufficient info for small business.
Countless widgets, both proprietary and 3rd party, muddies up user experience and wastes time.
The ability to manage social media marketing posts according to the needs of the client while reducing some wasted effort (i.e. to recycle non- time sensitive, repetitive posts).
It allows for users to add up to five social media accounts at a time and it displays them all on one interface. It also has the capability to shorten links and schedule sending of messages at a later time. The platform is fairly easy to use.
Navigation-wise, if you don't have a large enough screen, you wouldn't see all yoir accounts in one glance. Using the scroll bar repeatedly gets tiring after a while if you're actively navigating through your several accounts. Unlike another program out there, this one limits you to adding only five accounts at a time.
It was our go-to application to manage several accounts at a time.
Hootsuite allows me to schedule out my social media posts for multiple accounts all in one place!
To be honest, I can think of anything that I dislike.
Hootsuite has helped me organize my social media posts across several platforms, allowing me to stay on task and up to date with all outlets.
They let you schedule several posts at a time, which makes it very easy to plan out the whole week. It gives you a link preview and lets you customize different messages depending upon the social platform. Very easy to use and the basic features are great.
I don't think there's anything I dislike, although we don't use all of the features offered.
It makes social media planning very easy and saves time by posting to multiple platforms at once.
Hootsuite’s publisher feature is by far my favorite. It is a very user-friendly interface and you can easily see what posts are scheduled for where and when.
The analytics are a little tedious and can be difficult to extract for one page at a time. Often times I find analytics don’t exactly match what I’m seeing in Facebook analytics.
Hootsuite makes it easy for me to post to all of our local pages at once to avoid the time consuming process of posting to pages individually
Ability to add posting abilities for each social media platform, ability to monitor each account as well as keywords or hashtags
Limited number of streams available, you have to upgrade your account to get access to full features, posting can be inconsistent at times.
Social media marketing, reputation management
